I have two concerns with the current situation:
One: Using something that's illegal opens yourself (and others) to legal repercussions. Currently, drug use has insanely bad consequences. Whether or not they're sensible, they are the law. Getting caught with pot can lead to jail time, property forfeiture, college aid removal, school expulsion, etc.
Two: Using drugs (or drink) everyday is a qualitative issue, not just a quantitative one. Having a daily habit means your drug use is who you are, rather than what you do. You spend time each day planning, using and coming down. You don't have any time removed from the drug use. Using occasionally (once or twice a month) means that while you use drugs, they're not the focus of your time and actions.
