Impressions - David Cohen

David has two offices right now.
One is connected to my office building, although actually 1-1/2 blocks south.
The other I have to cross a street. Both are very nice and convenient.
He's downtown on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

He struck me as very quiet, thoughtful and intense.
He has a history of abuse, and has been clean for 13+ years.

When we were talking on Friday, I brought up a concern about having D go to camp, be a leader / role model, when I think he might be using.
This is a betrayal to the camp, the other staff, the kids, their parents, etc.
I said it would be hard to not say something to the camp staff management.

David restated my (somewhat rambling and incoherent) concerns by identifying that this is an ethical issue for *me*. It doesn't have anything to do with D and his actions, but rather with my actions. I hadn't realized that before he said it, but once he did, it made it very clear why this was so difficult for me.

I was very impressed with David.
I think he would be good to facilitate family counseling between C, D and me, especially if we're trying to work out some compromise (assuming D is not going to just stop and allow himself to be tested to prove it).
